This is our first property that Kyle and I did together.  It was done on a shoe string budget as we were (still are?) super poor.  We did all the interior design and most of the renovation work on this property ourselves.  The design theme is cozy meets creative hang out.  The design features heavily on using what was already here and mixing it with reclaimed and found objects to make a one of kind space.  The challenge was to not allow the space to feel rustic, but to make it feel like a hip urban hangout.  We loved the fact that this is a 1901 Victorian and the floors and trim show the age of the house.  But we wanted to brighten the space and give it the same young and eccentric energy that was present in the neighborhood.
