Woodward Throwbacks is a social entrepreneurship that focuses on using materials gathered from illegal dumping sites and building renovations throughout Detroit.

We started in 2013, riding our bikes in our neighborhood and picking up wood that was dumped in our streets. We humbly started in a one car garage, selling at the local farmers market. We have since grown by opening our Flagship Store and Workshop, while expanding to national distribution.

We are now able to employ members of our community, and salvage truck loads of wood from our streets weekly. We do our best to keep the materials as natural as possible. Sanding the splinters away but keeping the character intact. Our small team makes every product by hand, right here in Detroit.
