New Brand, Same People

It's been a long time coming. But we have finally launched Throwbacks Home. We do a lot of different things at Woodward Throwbacks. And honestly it was getting hard trying to communicate that all with everyone on one platform. So we made a big push at the beginning of 2021 to simplify our business and to start concentrating more on our furniture design and manufacturing. Thus Throwbacks Home was created. It will be our marketplace for selling our furniture pieces as well as other designer homewares and furniture that compliment our ethos and style. It's the same people behind the scenes, and the mission is the same still. To build statement pieces of furniture using reclaimed and sustainable materials.

The showroom will open in late November. And the website is live to shop right now. We will be adding pieces weekly during the holiday season. So make sure to come check us out on your next visit downtown!

WT Going Forward

Woodward Throwbacks will still have our warehouse sales where you can shop our collection of antiques, reclaimed materials, and architectural salvage. They just might not be on a monthly basis. Appointments can still be scheduled for purchasing of said items at our Hamtramck warehouse. And we will do our best to keep bringing in the materials you need for your projects.

We will also still be offering our interior design services out of the Hamtramck location. It's a part of the business we are looking to grow along with the new store downtown. Those inquiries can always be had by contacting us at

And as always keep an eye on our Instagram. As we will be continuing to use that page to show all the behind the scenes of our operation. As well as any news of warehouse sales, special projects, or anything else of importance.

Press Release

Throwbacks Home to Open Downtown Detroit’s Only

Furniture Showroom

November 3, 2022 [DETROIT] - Detroit’s Woodward Throwbacks announced today it will open
their first showroom in Downtown Detroit, Throwbacks Home. With a focus on sustainable
design, the showroom will feature one-of-a-kind furniture made in Detroit from reclaimed and
recycled materials as well as carry a curated selection of designer homewares and
furnishings. Early November 2022, Throwbacks Home will open its doors at Bedrock’s 35 W
Grand River Ave in Downtown Detroit. The showroom will occupy 1500 square feet and provide
a furniture option for the thousands of people now living downtown.

“The last few years we have really challenged ourselves on how materials can be used. And
what ‘reclaimed’ furniture looks like. It’s exciting that we will be able to now show our original
designs to a larger audience. And challenge the notice that reclaimed doesn’t have to be
“rustic” and it can be modern and refined,” adds Founder Bo Shepherd.

Woodward Throwbacks and now Throwbacks Home founders, Bo Shepherd and Kyle Dubay,
have been featured for their work by brands and publications throughout the country including
Architectural Digest, Google, and Carhartt. These two Detroit visionaries have long wanted a
showroom in Downtown Detroit—a physical location separate from their warehouse and
factory in Hamtramck, where clients can see and touch their work. As the work is made from
reclaimed materials mostly found in Detroit, a downtown showroom only seems fitting and will
be made up primarily of their furniture collection pieces.

This new location will show the elevated position the brand has taken over the years.

“Throwbacks Home will be a significant addition to Downtown Detroit’s eclectic retail scene,”
said Ivy Greaner, Bedrock’s Chief Operating Officer. “Bo and Kyle have created an adored brand
that utilizes reclaimed Detroit materials which speaks to the vibrancy and resilience of both
their products and our city. As the first showroom of its kind Downtown, we cannot think of a
better duo to make it happen.”
